Everyday thousands, probably hundreds of thousands, of people relocate. They pack up their lives and move into the unknown with hopes of finding something they’ve been unable to obtain otherwise; a new job, a new significant other, a new degree, a new setting… a new life. But as glamorous and as simple a formula this may seem, it’s not without its hiccups. Learning the inner workings of your new surroundings is nothing short of exhausting and often times alienating; everyone seems to know what they’re doing and where they’re going but you.
Things They Didn't Tell Me About The City is my personal accounts and experiences learning to live in the city of Chicago. There are so many new things to discover, places to go and see that it's going to take me quite a while to figure it all out and become a real Chicagoan.
It's an adventure! And an exciting one at that.
